Business case
The operation of every company is dependant on a
multitude of processes which take place. Many of these processes
are either paper-based, or, more likely, have become based on the
use of software applications and databases – commercial and
in-house, technical and non-technical.
However, many applications can be time-consuming
to use and hard to deploy to the enterprise, with the result that
many critical processes take longer than they should. In addition,
the
corporate
knowledge of how to use a software or database tool can easily
be lost, resulting in on-going training costs and long learning-curves
for new staff.
With EASA, your business can quickly author easy-to-use
Web-based applications and use them to automate and integrate software
and databases on any computer on your network. The resulting library
of custom applications is accessible to anyone in your enterprise
via a browser, integrating your business processes, while automating
and simplifying your most time-consuming and difficult tasks.

Someone in your organization needs to perform a critical
task...
• An invoice needs to be generated urgently
from an in-house accounting system, to be sent to a key customer
whose records exist only in a database somewhere else in the organization.
• A prospective client needs a proposal with
pricing and delivery dates for your products or services, but the
information regarding your inventory or manufacturing capacity
must be calculated from data in several different databases.
…Your company may have commercial or in-house software to help, but the
processes involved are still time-consuming and often require specific skills.
The Solution
What if you could integrate and automate
even the most complex and time-consuming business processes into
simple applications?
EASA allows you to do this - enabling you to deploy
custom, time-saving tools to your enterprise without expensive
out-sourcing.
Immediate benefits
• Process knowledge is encapsulated
in easily accessible custom applications.
• An electronic "paper-trail" of executed processes is automatically
ensured.
• Faster processes are enabled - employees no longer have to wait for an ”expert“ to
become available.
• Best practices and standards are captured.
• Return on the license costs of commercial applications and databases
is increased.
• Return on the development cost of in-house tools and databases is increased.
• In-house and legacy tools are made easily accessible and more usable.
• Long learning-curves are reduced or eliminated for new employees, reducing
training costs.
EASA Installation
EASA uses a three-tier architecture, which is fast
becoming an industry standard. The EASA software itself is installed
on a Windows 2000, NT, or XP server or a Linux server. This server
stores the libraries of applications and results, and runs the
queuing system. Users communicate with the EASA server via their
web browsers (Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher or Netscape
6.1 or higher) and a dial-up connection or network connection.
EASA drives the underlying software application where it currently
resides. EASA supports communications with applications running
on Windows, UNIX, or Linux. If you are interested in other operating
systems, please contact
